Introduction

Welcome to this resource, for anyone who enjoys journeying and who wants to explore more of what it means to journey with a deeper purpose.

Pilgrimage is a practise in many faiths, often to travel to important Holy Places and Sites and often to complete a journey that will take weeks, even months. This resource comes from another perspective, that these special or Holy journeys can in fact happen much closer to home, in this instance the beautiful county of Worcestershire and need not take long, maybe even just in a morning or an afternoon. This way of journeying could be called Pilgrimage in Daily Life.

This site is a resource, and a number of journeys are given for anyone to use for their own daily pilgrimage. Hence none of the walks are very long. They are designed to engage the traveller in the riches of the Christian tradition and especially drawing on the events of Jesus' life in the Gospels. Their intention is to engage the traveller's imagination as they journey, and in this they draw heavily on the spirituality of St. Ignatius and his Spiritual Exercises.

Finally, if there are similar pilgrimages in daily life you have enjoyed please do feel free to add them to this site.
